MY FAVORITE TECH FOR FAMILY TRAVEL
Let's face it...tech is a daily part of most families' lives. Why not use it to your advantage when you travel? Here are my top five tech gadgets for family travel.
1. Phone Chargers
Charging your phone is essential when you're traveling. More importantly, it is great to have a portable power bank when you are not near any outlets. Be sure to find one with more than one USB port so that more family members can use it.
2. Car Chargers
Another vital element to a family trip is a car charger. We made sure to buy a multi-port charger for our road trips and it has been a life-saver! I highly recommend this one!
3. Headphones
Everyone needs headphones! I am not of the opinion of spending a lot of money on this, especially with kids. We bought these wireless headphones for both kids (8 and 10) and they loved them! They connect via Bluetooth and when their charge runs out, it comes with a wire that you can connect. Another great buy!
4. Tile
This gadget is a little pricey ($20 for one), but can be very helpful. You put the little Tile on anything you usually lose (keys or phone) and it will ring or show you where it is on the app. For travel, Tile can also be used with your luggage. Since you can track it, throwing one into your checked bag allows you to always know where the bag is! If you have ever lost a bag, you may want to invest in one or two of these for future peace of mind.
5. Drone
How cool would it be to be on an adventure somewhere and fly your drone to take a family picture or a video of your surroundings? Now, of course, this is a splurge, but it would make for some pretty incredible footage of your vacation! There are some pretty inexpensive ones out there, so maybe this idea isn't as far fetched as you are probably thinking right now. Here are the best drones for travel photos.
