Magic Kingdom is the easiest of the parks to get the Fastpass you want because they have no tiers. Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are a little more complicated when reserving your Fastpasses in advance because they only allow you to select one Tier 1 ride. In this post, I will be discussing some of my scheduling tips when choosing your Fastpasses for Magic Kingdom. Here is my strategy on how to schedule your Magic Kingdom Fastpass.

First of all, if you would like some general Fastpass tips, please read my post - Disney World Fastpass Secrets. There are 25 attractions at Magic Kingdom that allow you to use the Fastpass.
Thunder Mountain
Space Mountain
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Peter Pan's Flight
Dumbo
Splash Mountain
Haunted Mansion
It's a Small World
Jungle Cruise
Mad Tea Party
Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
Tomorrowland Speedway
Mickey's PhilharMagic
Pirates of the Caribbean
Barnstormer
Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid
Meet Ariel at Her Grotto
Meet Cinderella and Elena at Princess Fairytale Hall
Meet Rapunzel and Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall
Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater
Meet Tinker Bell at Town Square Theater
PRO TIP
ARRIVE 15 MIN. BEFORE THE PARK OPENS. If you are staying on property and Magic Kingdom has early Magic Hours, use them and wake up earlier to make it on time. If you are not staying on property, find out which park does have early magic hours and do not go to that one! If you do, you will be competing with hundreds of people who arrived an hour before you.

Fastpass Strategy for Little Ones
If you have anyone in your party that is tall enough to ride any of the "mountains" or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, you should definitely get a Fastpass for those. If not, here are my recommendations:
Peter Pan's Flight 10:30
Buzz Lightyear 11:30
Meet Mickey or any of the princesses or Enchanted Tales with Belle 2:00PM
Once you are done meeting the characters, take a look at your My Disney Experience app and find a Fastpass for as soon as possible. If you book one for later in the day, you cannot get one in the meantime. You are only allowed to get a new Fastpass once your are done with your original 3. I did not include Dumbo because there is not usually too much of a wait and they have a wonderful themed indoor playground that you can "wait at". You are given a buzzer and then it beeps when you are up.
Also, I worked around "nap time". If it is not a consideration for you, then book them as close together as possible.

Fastpass Strategy for School Aged Kids and Teens (taller than 44"):
Option 1
Head straight to Mine Train and ride it first. Many sites will recommend getting a Fastpass for this one, but the line is so well themed, that it is nice to walk through it. If you use a Fastpass, you will miss out on the cute decor. If your family likes Peter Pan's Flight, ride that early as the lines get very long and it is not too far away from The Seven Dwarfs Main Train. The interactive line is also very cute here. On your way to the fast passes below, ride Haunted Mansion. Then go to your Fastpass reccomendations:
Splash Mountain 11:00
Once you tap your magic band in line, try to see if you can move up Thunder Mountain to anything before noon. Hopefully it works and you can get one for 11:30ish, because then you have more time to eat and ride while you wait for Space Mountain. You could also see if you can bump up Space Mountain too once you ride Thunder Mountain.
Thunder Mountain 12:00
* Lunch in the area
If you can squeeze it in, try to do Pirates or Jungle Cruise if the line isn't that long on your way to Space Mountain
Space Mountain 1:00
After that, play around with the Fastpass app and see what other rides you can get a Fastpass to as soon as you tap your magic band into Space Mountain (or your 3rd scheduled Fastpass).

Option 2
Head straight to Tomorrowland and ride Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear.
Then head towards Adventureland to ride Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion before the lines get too long.
Here are the recommendations:
Splash Mountain 11:00
Thunder Mountain 12:00
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 1:00
Once you have tapped your band at Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, check to see what Fastpass availability there is on the My Disney Experience App and book the soonest one so that you can choose others later on.
