Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Review - Great Family Friendly Hotel

Updated: Nov 27, 2018

Five water slides, a lazy river, three pools, corn hole, giant Jenga, food trucks and restaurants... all in one place! The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point is one of my favorite family hotels. We have stayed here twice for free! Yes, I am not kidding... for free! How did we do this, you may ask?

The Hyatt credit card is the answer... For a $75 annual fee, you are rewarded with a free night at ANY HYATT PROPERTY! Which means that this hotel which normally runs between $300-500 a night, is free! We have had the Hyatt credit card for 2 years, and have used the free night reward on this hotel both times. To read how we did this, click on my post - How to Get Free Hotel Stays.

Let's start off with the big draw - the water slides. These two (pictured above) are racing body slides. You start off climbing 3 stories and then once you get to the top, you can slide down and race your neighbor if you'd like. They do a couple of turns and a nice little drop at the end. There are two other tube slides (where you must pick up one or two person tubes). According to my children, both are "awesome". The last one is a little toddler slide (2-3 years old).

The kids have an absolute blast going on these slides over and over (and over) again! We also enjoy spending time on the lazy river or just hanging out at any of the three pools. Already, you can clearly see why I would rank the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point as a great family friendly hotel.

When it's time to take a break from the water, we hang out on the lounge chairs, and order drinks and snacks from the food truck stationed by the slides. Both times we stayed at the hotel, we had lunch poolside and dinner in one of the three restaurants they have. We have not had a bad meal yet!

Back in the room... since we were Hyatt credit card and reward members we were automatically upgraded to a balcony suite. Not a bad view right? The property is situated right on the bay and Estero Nature Preserve (Bonita Springs, FL).

Another feature the hotel has that we have not taken advantage of is their beach access. There is a ferry that takes you to a private beach island so that you can enjoy the seclusion and sandy beaches of Florida.

All in all, the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point receives an A+. It has great food, water slides, a lazy river, pools, and family game activities all in one place! We don't have to leave! What makes this hotel even more spectacular is that the stay was free (besides the food and drinks of course). Well, technically the stay was $75. I am essentially paying my annual card fee to stay here. Well worth it, don't you think? Check out room rates here.

I went to a similar hotel in Texas with my family when I was a kid and have the best memories!

You had me at your first two words... five waterslides!? I am all in! Especially since it's in Florida! I am missing home sooo much right now. The Pacific Ocean is beautiful, but it's pretty dang chilly over here and I would love to get in the water right about now!

Ahhh that brings me back to my childhood! We used to stay at a place in Myrtle Beach with a lazy river when I was a kid. I could float on that river for days! haha

What a cool place! We are big fans of water slides, plus a private beach? Awesome! I'm sure we would love it here.
